The Vehicle 

Not being quite a car, but not quite a van, the Citroen Berlingo is a vehicle that is both practical with affordable.  The Berlingo has always been seen as the economic choice, with it not only being cheap to buy, but also cheap to run. In diesel form, the 1.6 litre HDi boasts an average fuel economy figure of 5.4 l/100km. While the Berlingo is affordable it does not compromise on practicality. The front seats of the Berlingo can be folded to allow for almost 2 metre long and 1.2m wide space. A special sliding side door measuring 112 cm x 57 cm enables large loads to be loaded safely and easily into the boot from the pavement. This door has a hold-open lock system to prevent the door sliding back and bumping your load halfway in.

Driver safety is another factor that appears to have been high on the design team's list of priorities for the Citroën Berlingo. The seats have been designed to "prevent submarining" and the seatbelts are webbing-grabbers with pyrotechnic pretension.  The Berlingo despite its size and practicality, feels and drives like a car. The Modification 

• Generous view from the 4 side windows, which are also available in tinted glass.

• Installation of a NIVO system ramp. 

• On liftgate-versions, a part of the bumper that has to be removed for access to the lowered floor. We are able to place them in the back making the modification barely noticeable.

• The Berlingo is available in two different models, the Berlingo Van 1.4 and Berlingo 1.6HDi versions. 

• Rear seating can either be fitted with 2 seats or the standard 3-seat bench.
