Over the past 20 years Mobility Engineering has been passionately working within the Child Restraints and Child Car Seats Industry. Throughout this time Mobility Engineering has been providing expert technical support services, training in the correct use and fitment of restraints and assisting with design and testing for restraint manufacturers.
Looking at restraints from an engineering and vehicle safety point of view, we have always found that our view and understanding of restraints and child restraint safety in vehicle accident situations to be quite different to the generic child products industry view and understanding of child restraints. With our understanding of vehicle dynamics, restraint safety and design we are able to provide you with a lot of education around the use and effects of child restraints in a vehicle. Training
Mobility Engineering operates a Registered Training Organisation that offers a nationally recognised Training Course – 10832NAT: Selection and Installation of Child Restraints (view course here). This course is available to members of the public and fitters who want to learn how to correctly set up and install child restraints as well as find anchor points in the vehicle.
Design and consulting
Mobility Engineering manages and administers a network of Authorised Safety Restraint Fitting Stations across the State of New South Wales. The Authorised Restraint Fitting Stations (ARFS) are authorised to install safety restraints including seat belts and baby car seat restraints.
Our consulting services and expertise is also often used by the restraint manufacturers for everything from providing feedback for restraint design, particularly when it comes to fitting and usage of the restraints to representing manufacturers in court cases as a subject expert witness.
